Conditions

If collection of the tuition fee, examination fee or costs for Bridging Programme is not possible in a particular month due to insufficient balance or a freeze on the account, then you are informed with a payment reminder. A new attempt will be made the following month. In this case the payable amount is that for the current month plus the as yet uncollected amount for the previous period.

Collection agency (overdue periods consecutive)
If the account is once frozen for two consecutive months, or has an insufficient balance then the payable amount will be increased by the statutory interest and administrative charges. The total payable amount should be paid within 7 days after the date of the second payment reminder letter. If no payment (or not made in full) has been received, access to the university network will be blocked. Besides you will be deregistered at the TU Delft as per the second month following the first payment reminder. Following this an external collection agency will be engaged and the additional costs resulting from this will be recouped from the student.

Collection agency (overdue periods during the academic year)
If collection has not been possible three times within the academic year, the total outstanding tuition fees are then payable at once and must be paid within 7 working days. If the payment is not made (or not made in full), access to the university network will be blocked. Following this an external collection agency will be engaged and the additional costs resulting from this will be recouped from the student.

Compensation
A person who is not enrolled but makes use of educational or examination facilities is required to pay compensation. At TU Delft this is set at €100 for each month that the person should rightfully have been enrolled plus the tuition fees owing for this period. For more information about these regulation, please see the Student Charter.
